Skeletal Reconstruction- Gigantopithecus blacki

Gigantopithecus is a large species of Pongine-lineage ape that lived in Southeast Asia, known for being the largest primate to live. Size estimates vary, from either being just slightly taller than a Gorilla at quadrupedal stance or able to look a human at its face, around 1.7 meters tall quadrupedally.

Much of the material and shape here is speculative, but based off what is likely. Some features may be easily changed, such as saggital crest size, orbit size, and other features. When done with both the size chart and reconstruction in flesh, I will do a document sheet on how to depict Gigantopithecus in the same method and manner as the Nanuqsaurus document.

I will be doing a full body reconstruction of Gigantopithecus sometime soon, but for doing full body, I recommend basing body proportions more off of Gorillas with some pongine inspiration, purely due to the fact Gigantopithecus was entirely terrestrial and mostly herbivorous, as with Gorillas. Such adaptations would possibly lead to some convergent bodyplans.
