Baryonyx walkeri is a medium-sized spinosaurid, nested within the baryonychine lineage. Its large, heavy, hooked claw gives Baryonyx its name, "Heavy Claw". With its elongated snout, unique teeth arrangement, maxillary notch, and large powerful arms, Baryonyx is a piscivore and fed on fish across some of Europe much like all of its relatives.
